Video gaming is becoming more popular day by day and not only for teenagers or adults but to all ages. Large amount of people especially children and adolescents spends most of their time playing games. As technology is growing, video game is also becoming more and more realistic with its resolution and sound developing. Furthermore, there are online games these days which allows players to play against another unknown players all over the world and this provides no more difficulty finding opponent anymore.

Well, some games did have good educational content in math or problems solving. However, there are also many negative themes in games which educate inappropriate things to people.

For example:

• The killing of people or animals
• The use and abuse of drugs and alcohol
• Criminal behaviour, disrespect for authority and the law
• Sexual exploitation and violence toward women
• Racial, sexual, and gender stereotypes
• Foul language, obscenities, and obscene gestures

Children are likely to improve their concentration skill, logic skill, mathematic as they pay more attention to their game more than in class which also make children learn things more faster or easily.
However, video games also take away a large amount of study time from children as well. More than half of players get addicted and leads to less attention in study, eat not properly, not enough exercise. The biggest risk is that violent video game confuse children mind as children somehow become confusing of what they should do or shouldn't do in the real world.

However, nothing is perfect so nothing is total bad as well. There are some argument that games teach skills because it allows players to make decision and learn whether they are making the wrong or right decision. Especially, many believe that they feel guilt over their own action. Apart from that they also learn to adapt which is an important lesson in real life. Therefore, games also improve player eye and hand coordination.

A statistic by Craig A. Anderson and Brad J. Bushman, Iowa State University. ( Sep, 2001 ) shows that approximately 10% of children aged 2 - 18 spend over 1 hour per day playing video games. ( Rideout et al., 1999 ). Another study from the Cooper-ative Institutional Research Program ( 1998, 1999 ) stated that in 1998 there are 13.3% of male college students spend at least 6 hours per week  with video games and had increased up to 14.8%.
